The honest answer
There is no well-established formula that adds a fixed amount of water for every gram of creatine. Hydration needs are driven more directly by body size, sweat loss, activity, climate, diet and health status. This calculator therefore estimates general total beverage needs rather than claiming a creatine-specific requirement.
Important: this is a broad planning range, not a clinical fluid prescription. Food also contributes water, so your beverage intake does not need to equal total water intake reported in population guidelines.
How the estimate works
- Baseline: 30–35 mL per kg of body weight.
- Exercise allowance: 350–500 mL per 30 minutes as a broad starting range.
- Optional hot-condition allowance selected by you.
Sweat rates vary substantially. For long or intense sessions, weighing yourself immediately before and after training can provide a more individualized estimate. Avoid trying to “catch up” by drinking extreme amounts rapidly.
